KraZy Quad Race

Who doesn’t love a bit of MarioKart? This image as inspired by a family game of MarioKart that got very silly very quickly, of course! Not only have I personalised the quad bike by adding in their names and the number plate, but I actually shot this in my living room!

This also looks great on my phone, a far more interesting background than your standard phone backgrounds!

Fly me to the Chaos

Family Bloon trip (minus myself)
I had this idea to shoot a centre piece for a focus wall in our house, I wanted to do something to show the personality of my family members. A happy, care free 7 year old who loves the sun and being outdoors, a 2 year old full of energy, zero fear and putting his mother on the fast track to a heart attack (or grey hair, sorry Natalie)

I faced a few challenges in making this, such as getting the lighting right, getting the family willing at the right time of day, which took a few days… but otherwise, I think it captures exactly what I wanted!

Sky Diving

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is still fairly new when it comes to Image Generation. I had this idea to create an image where I’m jumping out of an inflatable plane. The thing with AI is you need to work with it to get it to a point where it can produce something I can work with.

Incase you didn’t spot any of the flaws, the camera mans feet are the right way around, but his camera arm and hand isn’t. I’m also not familiar with the brand of camera he’s holding, or how many parachutes there might be around the image, but I still thought it enjoyable enough to use for creating my image.

Working it through

I don’t always get it right, obviously! This is 1 shot (out of the hundreds) that i tried and didn’t like, or I felt it didn’t fit what I was trying to achieve, it happens!

Fail Harder

The great thing about experimenting is discovering more about what works, and what doesn’t.
No matter how many times I hear it, ‘trust the process’ is still something I fight myself with.
As you can see, the background image looks quite different here to what it does up above. Ultimately, I just wasn’t happy with the perspective of me in this iteration.
